Plano, TX

During his research, Dan found a short cut that lead us down a back road near Whites City. We encountered cows crossing the road and had to wait for them to moooo-ve on. It was definitely a good thing we traveled this road during the day. Dan said it made him feel like he was one of the Duke boys from The Duke's of Hazard. So, with a YEEE-HAWWW!!! We were off...

It was a long drive up from Carlsbad, in which Dan did most of the driving. His ankle seems to be healing quickly, but his toes are still a scary shade of black and blue. Since Texas is a fairly boring place to drive through, I left Dan to fend for himself as I started a new book, Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Another vampire novel… but seemingly without the smut since this is geared more towards the teen population. I have to admit, I’m totally into it.

After moseying along with rush hour traffic through Fort Worth and Dallas, we made our way to the South Fork Hotel in Plano, TX. The room we are in is quite a step up from our previous room. I was able to do some weights & treadmill time at the gym while the boys enjoyed the pool.

We’ve got a fridge in the mini bar, Joey is resting comfortably on a pull out couch and Dan and I are loving the king sized bed… with oodles of extra pillows!

We ended the evening with dinner at BJ’s. Above Dan and Joey are talking to Grammy and then waiting for our food to arrive.
