Lisa's return to Intel

I returned to work just after dropping Joseph off at school. It was about 9 am when I arrived and I managed to "chat" with my peers for another hour prior to really getting down to business. My team surprised me with a phenomenally decorated cube: A huge thanks to Susan, Wendy, Terry, Penney and Nichole. You guys rock and make work fun, I couldn't ask for better friends.

Well this completes our Sabbatical 2008 tour. I can't thank you all enough for "coming along". I'll be posting to www.goesturbocreative.blogspot.com if you want to see what we're up to next.

God Bless see ya in 6 years 3 months for our 2015 tour!

07/24/08 Dan's Return

Dan returned back to work today and arrived to a decorated cube themed to his heroic rescue in Rocky Point. If you note in the swimming pool there is a baby doll in need of rescue...
Ryan does a phenomenal job with photoshop. As you can see from these pictures, this is not his first masterpiece. I wonder if he has a collection? He should they are priceless!
In my personal opinion, David Hasselhoff ain't got nothin' on my baby! Dan loved his cube and his team did a fantastic job!

Tampa

We arrived safely in Tampa yesterday afternoon. The flight over was uneventful, although Joey found one of the radio channels on the airplane that broadcast live communications from the cockpit to towers along our route. We enjoyed listening and decifering what the communications meant.

Our friends Susan and Jason are letting us stay with them while we are in Tampa before the cruise. They have an adorable home built in the 1920s. The whole neighborhood has character and charm and is delightful. They live just a bit up from the river and we took a walk down there last night to take in the view. Breathtaking! I'm hoping to get some sunset (or sunrise) shots if I can. Will post them as I can.

We sampled a local dining establishment last night for their Columbian cuisine. It was simply fabulous!

Thanks for the prayers. I am still fighting my cold but feeling somewhat better. Now I,m praying Joey doesn't get it next.

Sabbatical - Day 1

Well, here I am, 6 am having slept in about 45 minutes beyond my normal wake up time of 5:15 am. I had work nightmares ALL night... which is rediculous considering I left work in the capable hands of Jenn, Hammy, "Clinic", and others. Maybe it was the unsettling error Jenn found shortly before I left which required significant re-work yesterday...

In anycase, it's nothing a few breakfast margaritas won't cure!

Dan, on the other hand, called me yesterday morning after some quality time with the guys playing basketball to inform me that God spoke clearly to him that he needed to take it easy over sabbatical... how was this communicated? By a severly swollen ankle which was the result of a sprain he received yesterday during the game. It's bound to become a gorgeous shade of black and blue and he is in some SERIOUS pain. I think the vicoden-profen mix he took last night helped. Poor guy!

Well, 1st things 1st for me, time for some interval training, the gym for weights and then my massage! :)
