We got to spend some quality time Sunday with Dan's middle sister, Tina, her husband Jason and daughter Jacie. We spent the afternoon chatting and eating! We got to eat some really delicious BBQ (and fried Okra YUMMY!!) and then, of course the obligatory Braums! When we arrived back at the house a few hours later, I got Dan, Tina and Jacie to climb up on the wall so I could take a picture of them with Joey and the wild Mustangs in the pasture across the street. Those creatures are divine and a step up from the cows they normally see.
Jason is an elusive creature so trying to get a picture of that man is difficult and a challenge I undertake every time we visit. He's got gorgeous eyes... so not sure why he hides them from the world. Maybe he's afraid the picture will steal his soul? :) Tina and Jason are close to celebrating their 18 year anniversary, and here is a rare picture of the couple.
Like I mentioned before, Jacie continues to grow into a beautiful, mature young lady. As Tina and I were talking the pride she has for her daughter shined through... and with good reason.
Dan loved the shopping trip we took to Bass Pro Shop. He purchased a rough tough knife along with a shot gun lighter and some salt water taffy. Tina and I found an ailing fish in their pond, but the employees didn't seem to care so much about the sick fishie. However the two of us were too chicken to stick our hands in there and help the poor fish out.
Unfortunately we didn't get to see Tami and her family nor Dad which made us very sad, but the timing just didn't work out. Hopefully we'll get the opportunity to see them next time. :(
